About 8Minds
8minds.org is an international competition that celebrates the 8 types of intelligence. We believe every mind has unique strengths: linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic.
What We Do
We run category-based competitions where you can showcase your abilities in a given intelligence type. The first category we have launched is Power of Words (Verbal & Linguistic Intelligence): video, audio, or text+audio pieces in English.
Who Can Participate?
Depending on the category, we define age groups. For Power of Words:
- Junior: ages 8–12, with a focus on confidence in expression, clear communication, and simple story structure.
- Senior: ages 13–17, with a focus on depth, argument/theme, structure, and impact.
Participation can be individual or in a 2–3 person mini team. For team entries, it must be clearly stated who wrote the text and who performed.
Language
The competition language is English. Submissions and descriptions should be in English.
